Jitsvinger is a Cape Flats-born, South African award-winning performing artist with a central focus to promote and celebrate my heritage and culture through popularising vernacular through poetry, theatre and music. A keen collaborator who’s been on multiple successful music tours across Europe, South America and the far East, exploring new territories combining Afrikaaps with other genres in music. Most recently, Jitsvinger has been awarded the Neville Alexander Award for Outstanding Contribution towards the Promotion of Multilingualism by the Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs for 2023.
